Roto- rooter has been helpful on so many occasions. Today, they were timely even as it was a Sunday morning. Rob was so kind and explained how to combat the roots from trees moving forward! Great service!

Called to have main line snaked. They required $125 down and told me they would call me to give me a price when they arrived. Once there, they told me it would be an additional $464. When I questioned why it would be OVER $600, they told me it was due to the cold weather (the high is 10 degrees today). I have no problem with there being additional cold weather fees, but I do have a problem with not being told until they have already collected the $125, arrived at the property, and it is too late in the day to call someone else. I would NEVER pay over $600 to have a line snaked. That is more than double what I normally pay. (I am a landlord and am used to dealing with issues like this.) I called back and the lady that answered the phone initially told me that the technician didn't know what he was talking about when he gave me the quote. She then called me back and backtracked and said it was a "cold weather fee". I will never do business again with this company! Follow up response on the review: There wasn't a miscommunication about the price day of, as the receptionist still called to make sure I paid the difference that day. (Which I did.) Never was there an explanation that it was worst case scenario; instead I was asked to pay the remainder of the balance that day. I received a partial refund after I submitted a bad review on Google, as well as a call letting me know they had overcharged me. I won't say it was well below $400; it was $375. I do appreciate the response, the partial refund and the company working to rectify the situation. In the future, it would be helpful if your employees are all aware of the pricing (as in extra cold weather charges at time of booking); communicate those fees clearly and the customer is charged the appropriate price before they have to issue a complaint. Update: 10 days after I had the main line snaked, the sewage backed up into the basement and was about 3 inches deep (much worse than when it initially backed up) It was on a Saturday. Without even coming out to look at the line, I was told that they would only come out now to jet the line and that it would be another $700 ($150 for it being the weekend and $550 for the jet). I was told four times that the work I had done 10 days ago had a 30 day guarantee. So, I just spent 3 hours with a sump pump, pumping out the water and sewage because Roto Rooter apparently doesn't guarantee their work. This whole experience has been awful. I'll be sure to tell other landlords, contractors and my family and friends how I was treated by this company.

Excellent and professional service. The technician was knowledge and provided feedback for additional services to better address roots in my sewer drain. It also was extremely cold outside where the work was done. I appreciate them coming and the service price was reasonable for the work performed.
